Flash a Personal Hopspot

Choose your exact board and flash a signed release straight from your browser: every byte is verified locally before it touches the device. Update keeps your device's data. Fresh install erases everything, and asks for its own confirmation first.

Prepare the board

The flasher will try the board's cataloged automatic reset strategy first.

  1. 1Use a USB data cable connected directly to this computer, and close serial monitors using the board.
  2. 2When asked, choose this board's serial port. Port names come from the chip rather than the board, and different boards can share the same chip, so if you're not sure which port is which, unplug everything else first.
  3. 3If automatic connection fails, hold BOOT, tap RESET, release BOOT, then restart the complete connect-and-flash step.
Wi-Fi configuration

Credentials remain in this browser and are never sent to a server. Preserve is the default.

Review and verify

Waiting
  1. 1Confirm the exact board pictured above.
  2. 2Prepare the release. Every part is downloaded and verified before the flasher touches your device.
  3. 3Connect with a USB data cable and choose the board's serial port.
  4. 4Flash. Each part is verified again on the device, then the flasher requests a board restart.

No full-chip erase. Every published byte is signature- and hash-verified before device access.

Checking this browser for secure Web Serial support before release preparation is enabled.

Confirm the exact board before preparing its sparse serial flash plan.

Change board

Shipping targets flash from a signed public release. Boards in hardware qualification and final bring-up sit beside them and graduate in place.
